- 1 box yellow cake mix (reserve 2/3 cup)
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup softened butter or margarine
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 1/4 cup light corn syrup
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 3 eggs, well beaten
- 1 cup chopped pecans
Instructions:
- Reserve 2/3 cup yellow cake mix; with the remainder, mix 1 egg and 1/2 cup softened butter.
- Press into greased 9x13 pan. Bake for 15-20 minutes at 350F (preheated).
- While that is baking, mix 2/3 cup cake mix, 1/2 cup brown sugar, 1 1/4 cup light corn syrup, 1 tsp. Vanilla, 3 eggs (well beaten), and 1 cup chopped pecans.
- Pour over crust and bake 30-35 minutes.
- Cool and cut into bars.
